I. Installation of Tapered Roller Bearings.

The installation of Tapered Roller Bearings must be carried out under dry and clean environmental conditions. Before installation, carefully check the machining quality of the mating surfaces of the shaft and housing, the end faces of the raised shoulders, the grooves and the connection surfaces. All mating surfaces must be carefully cleaned and deburred, and the unmachined surfaces of the casting must be cleaned of sand.

Tapered Roller Bearings should be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene before installation, dry and use, and ensure good lubrication, bearings generally use grease lubrication, can also use oil lubrication. When grease lubrication is used, the grease without impurities, anti-oxidation, anti-rust, extreme pressure and other performance should be used. The grease filling volume is 30%-60% of the bearing and bearing box volume, not too much. Double-row tapered roller bearings with sealed structure have been filled with grease, the user can use directly, not to be cleaned again.

Tapered Roller Bearings installation, must apply equal pressure on the circumference of the collar end face, the collar pressed into, shall not use the hammer and other tools to directly hit the bearing end face, so as not to damage the bearing. In the case of small amount of interference, can be at room temperature with a sleeve pressed in the collar end face, hit the sleeve with a hammer, through the sleeve will be a balanced pressure into the collar. In case of large volume installation, a hydraulic press can be used. When pressing in, should ensure that the outer ring end face and shell shoulder end face, the inner ring end face and shaft shoulder end face pressed tightly, no clearance.

When the amount of interference is large, the oil bath heating or inductor heating bearing method can be used to install, heating temperature range of 80 ℃ -100 ℃, the highest can not exceed 129 ℃. At the same time, the application of nuts or other appropriate methods to fasten the bearing to prevent the width of the bearing after cooling direction contraction and make a gap between the collar and the shaft shoulder.

Single row tapered roller bearing installation should be the last clearance adjustment. Clearance value should be according to different use and with the size of the interference and specific determination. If necessary, should be tested to determine. Double-row tapered roller bearing in the factory has been adjusted clearance, installation does not need to be adjusted. If there is no abnormality, the bearings should be used for no-load, low-speed operation with power, then gradually increase the rotating speed and load depending on the operation condition, and detect noise, vibration and temperature rise, and if abnormality is found, the operation should be stopped and checked. After normal operation test, it can be delivered for use.
