The Maintenance of the plummer block housing

Plummer block housing is a relatively close partner of the bearing, and is generally produced as a complete set. The plummer block housing also occupies a relatively important position in the entire shaft system. The following describes the maintenance of the bearing seat.

Special attention should be paid to the following points during the use of the bearing seat: 

1. Use of bearing seat cooling system. The bearing seat cooling water can not only prolong the service life of the bearing seat, but also improve the production efficiency when used correctly. The material of the bearing seat is generally made of special bearing seat steel through various treatments. Even the best bearing seat steel has its limits of use, such as temperature. 

When the plummer block housing is in use, if the mold temperature is too high, it is easy to cause tortoise cracks on the surface of the mold core early. In some plummer block housings, the tortoise cracks will appear on a large scale even if it does not exceed 2000 times. Even in the production of the plummer block housing, the color of the mold core was changed due to the too high temperature of the plummer block housing. After measurement, it even reached more than 400 degrees. This temperature is prone to cracks when the mold release agent is chilled. The products are also prone to deformation, strain, and mold sticking.

 

In the case of using the bearing seat cooling water, the use of release agent can be greatly reduced, so that the operator will not use the release agent to reduce the temperature of the bearing seat. The advantage is to effectively extend the life of the bearing seat, save the die-casting cycle, improve product quality, reduce mold sticking, strain and aluminum sticking, and reduce the use of mold release agents. It can also reduce the loss of ejector rod and core caused by overheating of the bearing seat.

 

2. The plummer block housing must be preheated in the process of starting production to prevent the cold bearing seat from suddenly encountering hot molten metal and causing tortoise cracks. More complex plummer block housings can be used with blowtorch, liquefied petroleum gas, mold temperature controllers for good conditions, and relatively simple plummer block housings can be preheated by slow injection.

 

3. Clean up the parting surface of the bearing seat. This is very troublesome and easily overlooked. The operator should thoroughly clean the parting surface of the bearing seat with kerosene. This not only prevents the bearing seat from being crushed, but also after cleaning, it can open the exhaust groove on the bearing seat that is blocked by the release agent residue or other dirt. Facilitate the discharge of gas in the cavity during the injection process, thereby improving product quality.

 

4. If the plummer block housing is equipped with neutron control, it is absolutely forbidden to connect the signal line between the die-casting machine and the bearing seat. The reason is very clear. In daily production, it is difficult to avoid water on the signal line; the place where the connector is wrapped is also easy to break, resulting in a short connection with the machine tool. If there is a signal error, it will stop automatically, delay time, or cause signal disorder, which will damage the bearing housing and cause unnecessary losses.
