1.  What is the sealing structure of UCFL207?

UCFL207 employs a dual sealing structure for reliable protection:

Contact rubber seal: Made of heat-resistant, oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), its lip contacts the inner 

ring to effectively prevent grease leakage and contaminant ingress.


Dust cover/oil-throwing ring: Mounted on the inner ring side, the protrusions on the oil-throwing ring generate

 an outward airflow when the bearing rotates, further preventing external contaminants and dust from 

entering the bearing interior.

This dual-layer sealing structure prevents both internal grease leakage and external contaminant ingress,

 making it particularly suitable for humid or dusty environments.


2. What is the recommended tightening torque for the set screw of UCFL207?

According to NSK technical documentation, the recommended torque for the UCFL207 set screw is as follows:

Set screw specification: M8×1

Recommended tightening torque: 16.5 N·m

Use a torque wrench to tighten to the specified torque during installation. 

This ensures reliable shaft fixation while preventing screw damage from excessive tightening.

Installation and Maintenance


3. What should be noted when installing UCFL207?

Proper installation is critical. Key steps and precautions are as follows:

Before Installation:

Check shaft flatness; shaft diameter tolerance must meet requirements (recommended h7 or j6 tolerance)

Clean shaft and bearing housing mounting surfaces, removing burrs and contaminants

Apply a thin layer of lubricant to the shaft surface to facilitate installation


Installation Process:

Do not fully tighten the bearing housing mounting bolts initially; allow the outer ring to rotate freely within the housing

Slide the unit onto the shaft and position it as required

After installing the bearing on the opposite end of the same shaft, rotate the shaft several times to allow the bearings 

to self-align. Utilize the self-aligning function to compensate for coaxiality errors

Tighten both mounting bolts progressively using a diagonal cross pattern

Use a torque wrench to tighten the set screw on the inner ring to the specified torque (16.5 N·m)


Post-Installation:

Manually rotate the shaft to confirm smooth rotation without binding

Check for abnormal noise or vibration
