High and low-speed bearings are difficult to distinguish by appearance, and common low-speed bearings are mostly cheap, but there are many high-speed bearings used in machinery. The high speed, medium speed and low speed of the bearing are not determined by its rotational speed but by its linear speed. Many low-speed bearings can also reach tens of thousands of revolutions per minute, while some high-speed bearings can rotate only a few hundred per minute. In addition to their names and their linear speeds, there is another distinction that the rotating parts of their structures are also different. Generally speaking, the rotating parts of low-speed bearings are circular, and some are cylindrical. The shape is even conical, and the rotating part of the high-speed rotating bearing is mainly the bearing shell.

1. High-speed bearings have higher precision than low-speed bearings, and their surface roughness is small. 2. Compared with low-speed bearings, high-speed bearings have different precision of steel balls or rollers, and the accuracy of raceways is higher than that of low-speed bearings. High-speed bearings generally use very high-hard steel, which can withstand the pressure from the parts due to high rotational speed. If the speed is relatively low, some common materials are used, and there is no need to bear too much pressure, so the requirements for the hardness of the material and the durability of the material are relatively reduced.

4. High-speed bearings are generally used inside the machine, and are cooled and lubricated with liquid bearing oil. If the bearings are not used in automobiles where there is little power for the high speed of the motor, the high-speed bearings can also be cooled and lubricated with solid bearing oil. Generally, the high-speed bearing is used inside the differential of the engine transmission, and the low-speed bearing is used in the chassis such as the axle wheel valley bearing.
